Medical Assistant

Premier Urgent Care is seeking a front and back office medical assistant that is an energetic, highly motivated and organized team player. The candidate should be a reliable self-starter with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately without supervision. Flexible hours and must be able to work on weekends.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs and accurately record information.
  • Front desk: Insurance verification experience required.
  • Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exams, etc.
  • Prepare exam room for patient visits, clean exam rooms between visits and maintain infection control.
  • Perform in-house testing, procedures and injections/immunizations as directed by provider, always following correct techniques and procedures.
  • Document all appropriate patient interactions (including phone calls and family discussions) in the medical record.
  • Provide care team coverage including answering phones, scheduling appointments and checking in (or out) patients.

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. A great opportunity for an experienced professional to grow with our team in a brand new state of the art facility. Some shifts will overlap with physicians who are always available for backup or consultation. Flexible hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Primary Care / ER / Urgent Care
  • Valid Michigan DEA License
  • Valid MichiganPA/NP License
  • Technology savvy, experience with EMRs and Healthcare clinical technology
  • ACLS/BLS Certification desired
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
  • Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
  • Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
